SIERRA MIDDLE SCHOOL
History
Sierra is the only comprehensive middle school in Lincoln Unified School District; as a result, we are able to provide students with a unique experience that is not available at district schools where elementary and middle grades are housed together. Sierra is among the highest ranked schools for academic performance in San Joaquin County. In 2004 our API score placed us in the top three middle schools in our county. Our test results showed that our strategies of the past year worked in nearly every case. Sierra Middle School met all of its AYP growth targets and met all but one of its API growth targets. This year we have re-vamped our math program by establishing two academic paths for students. Both courses prepare students to be successful on the CST General Math test.
