LINCOLN ELEMENTARY
Lincoln Elementary School opened its doors for the first time in 1878. The two-room schoolhouse was located on the same site as the existing school. The current building was opened in 1950, with additions of classrooms and portables over the ensuing 47 years, resulting in 27 classrooms. Learning tools in the 1880s included chalk, slate, books, and lots of outdoor experiences.

In the 21st century our students learn with calculators, research and write using computer technology, and experience outdoor life through Science Camp and our Life Lab.
While we have undergone major changes over the years, both physically and academically, books and literacy are still an integral part of learning at Lincoln Elementary.
