6. President’s Report Linda Haack

· Nominations for 2010-11
To date there are no nominations for President, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership or Auditor for next year. Linda Haack will work with Lisa Walker to send out a Pace Message to 8th – 11th grade parents on to try to get volunteers. The current PTSA Board may need to have an impromptu meeting during May to take care of voting/board matters.
· Jamba Juice Cards
1000 additional Jamba Juice Cards have arrived. They are available in the Student Activities and Administration Offices.

7. Student Council Rojin Hashemi and Adjoa Hackman

· Prom is set for May 8th. Please contact Lauren Jones (laurenjonessx3@aim.com) if you can chaperone or donate cases of bottled water. It will be at the Lexington Hotel; the theme is “Welcome to Las Vegas.”
· The second annual International Night had great reviews.
· The Cesar Chavez Assembly went well despite some unacceptable audience etiquette.
· Adjoa Hackman will be the student PTSA rep for next year. The Multicultural rep position (which may or may not attend PTSA meetings) remains open.

8. Window On Your Future Karen Lynch

There is no outstanding WOYF business for this year. The final expense was from the LHS Copy Center and was approved for payment earlier in the meeting.

9. New Business

· Midyear Audit: There was a question as to whether midyear audit had been submitted. Karen Lynch confirmed that it had.

· Staff Appreciation Luncheon: The annual Staff Appreciation barbeque will be on Thursday, May 6th in the Staff Lounge. We all need to be recruiting salads – enough to serve 10 people in a disposable bowl – and let Dede McKinley know when volunteers are confirmed. Student Council will coordinate their efforts around the May 6th date and make posters for the Staff Lounge.

· Grad Night: The Grad Night Committee is looking for volunteers to work the evening of Thursday, June 3rd. Contact Lisa Gildea, Kristin Tokunaga or Allison Gadeke if you can help out.

10. Upcoming Events

The last PTSA Business Meeting of the 2009-10 school year will be on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Staff Lounge.

11. Adjournment – 7:10 p.m.
