You can use the Math Diagnosis and Intervention System (MDIS) to help prepare student for the next grade. You might want to do this at the end of the school year, after students have completed the lessons in the Student Edition and taken a major test on those lessons.
See the Pacing Guide on page T11 of your Overview and Implementation Guide. The Pacing Guide shows that you can complete the Student Edition lessons about 20 school days before the end of the school year.
